Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-07-03

§1. General provisions and provider details

These Terms govern the use of the Website Optimizer service, available at https://websiteoptimizer.pl (the "Service" or "Application").

The provider is WebStars (Warsaw, Poland), e-mail: contact@websiteoptimizer.pl (the "Provider").

The Application is provided in a Beta version — it may contain errors and be subject to changes and interruptions.

§2. Definitions

  • User — an entity using the Service after creating an Account.
  • Consumer — a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade or profession.
  • Account — an individual User profile secured with an e-mail address and password.
  • Service — optimization of images on a Webflow-based website (compression, resizing, format conversion, AI-generated ALT texts, file renaming, publishing changes).
  • Credit — a billing unit; 1 Credit allows processing of 1 image.

§3. Technical requirements

Using the Service requires a device with internet access, an up-to-date browser and an active e-mail address. Using the Service additionally requires an active Webflow account, a published website and a Webflow API token with appropriate permissions.

§4. Registration and Account

Creating an Account is free and requires providing an e-mail address, setting a password and confirming the e-mail address. The User undertakes to provide accurate data and protect login credentials. The Account agreement is concluded for an indefinite period.

§5. Scope and provision of the Service

The Application enables, among others: scanning images, compression and resizing, conversion to WebP/AVIF, AI-generated ALT texts, tidying file names and publishing changes to the User's website.

Some operations (publishing, renaming files, overwriting ALT texts, compression) modify the User's live website and are irreversible within the Application.

ALT texts are generated automatically by artificial intelligence systems and may contain inaccuracies. The User is obliged to verify the generated content before publishing. The Provider does not guarantee any specific results, including SEO results. Image compression may be lossy and affect file quality.

§6. Obligation to create a backup

Before starting optimization, the User is obliged to create a full backup of the website (e.g. by duplicating the website on the Webflow platform) in order to have a fallback version. The Provider is not liable for loss or alteration of website data if the User did not create a backup. It is recommended to test changes first on a copy/duplicate of the website.

§7. Credits, prices and payments

  • Paid features use a prepaid Credits model. 1 Credit = processing of 1 image.
  • New Users may receive a pool of free Credits under the terms shown in the Application. Free Credits cannot be exchanged for money.
  • The current Credit price and total amount are presented before purchase. Prices may be shown in USD; applicable taxes may be added.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. The Provider does not store full payment card details. Purchasing Credits is not a subscription.
  • Recommendation: due to the limited scope of refunds (§8), it is recommended to purchase only as many Credits as actually needed.
  • Purchased Credits do not expire — they are valid indefinitely.

§8. Right of withdrawal and Credit refunds

A Consumer (and a sole trader treated as a consumer) has the right to withdraw from the Credit purchase agreement within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason.

  • Unused Credits: upon timely withdrawal, the Provider refunds the amount corresponding to the number of unused Credits.
  • Used Credits: using a Credit (processing an image) constitutes performance of a digital service. By starting processing, the User consents to immediate performance and acknowledges the loss of the right of withdrawal for Credits already used. No refund is due for used Credits.
  • Free Credits are not subject to monetary refund.
  • Credits charged due to a documented technical fault of the Application are refunded to the Account under the complaint procedure (§13).

A withdrawal statement can be sent to contact@websiteoptimizer.pl. Refunds are made no later than within 14 days, using the same payment method.

§9. User obligations and responsibility

The User uses the Service in accordance with the law, these Terms and good practice, declares that they hold the rights to the processed images and content, is responsible for content published on their own website and for the API token permission configuration, and protects their own API keys and tokens. Disrupting the Service and circumventing security measures is prohibited.

§10. Dependence on third-party services and availability

The Application depends on third-party services, in particular: Webflow (website access), Google (including AI ALT generation), Stripe (payments) and hosting/e-mail providers. Changes or outages on their side may affect the Service. The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, in particular given the Beta version.

§11. Provider liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for: loss or alteration of website data resulting from lack of a backup (§6), consequences of errors in unverified ALT texts (§5), reduced image quality due to compression, and actions of third parties (§10). For Users who are not Consumers, liability is limited to the amount of fees paid in the 12 months preceding the event, excluding lost profits. No provision limits Consumer rights where prohibited by law.

§12. Termination and Account deletion

The User may terminate the agreement and delete the Account at any time. Account deletion does not entitle to a refund for used Credits; §8 applies to unused, paid Credits. The Provider may terminate the agreement or suspend the Account for important reasons (e.g. gross breach of the Terms).

§13. Complaints

Complaints can be submitted to contact@websiteoptimizer.pl, including a description of the problem and the Account e-mail address. The Provider handles complaints within 14 days of receipt.

§14. Out-of-court dispute resolution (Consumers)

A Consumer may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures. The EU ODR platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

§15. Changes to the Terms

The Provider may change the Terms for important reasons, informing Users in advance (e-mail or in-app notice). Changes do not affect acquired rights.

§16. Final provisions

The governing law is Polish law, subject to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the Consumer's country of residence. Matters not covered are governed by Polish law. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms.
